FOOD

During our travels, we have made friends who have different ways of life and like different things.  One of these differences is in the foods that they eat.  We have picked up recipes along the way from different places.  In this list, you will find some of our favorites, along with other recipes that we like.  Enjoy!

  • All In A Minute Supper Dish - Hardly any preparation. Just layer ingredients into a baking dish and put it in the oven.  It's very good.
  • Bill's Sausage Seasoning - Since it's tough to find sausage without nitrites, Bill developed this seasoning recipe so that we could make our own turkey sausage.
  • Taco Seasoning - Since it's tough to find sausage without nitrites, Bill developed this seasoning recipe so that we could make our own turkey sausage.
  • Buttered Noodles - We came up with this dish on one of those days when all of the meat in the house was frozen and we wanted something quick, easy and tasty.
  • Chicken Spaghetti - When we went to East Texas a few years ago, this dish was served everywhere we went
(church gatherings).  It's good.  Give it a try.
  • Egg Drop Soup - I usually don't like Egg Drop Soup at the restaurants, but Bill makes this one.  I like it.
  • Hearty Beef Enchiladas - Both of us like to eat Mexican food, but you never know whether a restaurant is going to be good or not.  This recipe makes a lot of food, but it's easy to half or quarter the recipe.
  • Lynda's Famous Chili - The easiest way to tell that this is not a Kentucky chili is that there are no noodles.  This is the chili that Bill really likes.
  • Lynda's Meatloaf - This is an easy recipe and it's good.  Most people won't even add catsup.
  • Pizza Casserole - This is one we picked up in Kentucky.  We had this dish once at Fazoli's, but it wasn't as good.

SOAP

It is becoming increasingly more difficult to find cleaning products without phosphates and other undesirable chemical components. Here are some solutions that really work and really help. As a plus, you get to make them yourself.

  • Homemade Liquid Laundry Soap - We picked up this recipe in Ocala, Florida at New Covenant Worship Center. Don't let it put you off. It's not that heard to do. Give it a try.
  • Household Products - These are recipes for household cleaning products that you can use as alternatives to the harsh chemicals in commercial products. These work as good or better than store-bought products. See for yourself.
