How To Be A Beat-Down Defeated Christian

A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled (muddied) fountain, and a corrupt (polluted) spring.          (Proverbs 25:26)

Sure-Fire Ways To Guarantee Defeat

It seems that many of today’s professed Christians will ignore or down-play God’s promises in order to hold on to bondage and disease. They will make every effort to justify their spiritual ineffectiveness. Since these folks are putting so much effort into their defeat and since any job worth doing is worth doing well, here are some sure-fire ways to guarantee that defeat.

Let the world decide what it means to be a Christian instead of God’s word
According to the world, Christians should be tolerant, humble, passive and quiet. Also, Christians should not, under any circumstances, interfere with the degradation of the government, the murder of unborn children or the secularization of the children that are allowed to survive.

Filter the scripture through personal experiences
Many professed Christians will go so far as to quote the promises of God and then in the next breath, use personal experience to explain why God won’t do what He said He would do.

Speak defeat
This is probably the most effective way to guarantee defeat. Remember, we bind and loose with our words and Satan is listening. If you speak defeat, the Devil is more than happy to help you achieve it.

Galatians 6:7-9 If you don’t want to reap, don’t sow.

Psalm 37:4 If you don’t want the desires of your heart, don’t delight in the Lord.

James 4:7 If you don’t want the Devil to flee, don’t resist him and don’t submit to God.

If you think that Christian maturity is restricted to having Jesus comfort you while the Devil beats you down and everyone forsakes you, you can be a beat-down Christian as long as you reject Psalm 91, Philippians 4:13 and in Job 1:6-10, the fact that God had a hedge around Job and is no respecter of persons.

Mark 11:23 If you don’t want to have what you say, doubt.

Exodus 23:25, 26 If you don’t want God’s protection of your food and water or from infertility, miscarriages and sickness, don’t serve the Lord.

Matthew 15:30, 31 If you don’t want to be healed, stay out of the prayer lines.
